Die Erfindung betrifft einen Tank, insbesondere einen Betontank, für das Speichern von Flüssigkeiten, wobei der Tank eine einen Mittelpunkt aufweisende Bodenplatte sowie zumindest zwei erste plattenförmige Seitenwandelemente und zumindest zwei zweite plattenförmige Seitenwandelemente umfasst, wobei die Bodenplatte gemeinsam mit den Seitenwandelementen in einem Betriebs zustand ein Speichervolumen des Tanks begrenzt, wobei zumindest die Seitenwandelemente zumindest teilweise aus ultrahochfestem Beton gefertigt sind.
Die Konstruktion eines Tanks muss derart robust sein, dass einerseits die von der gespeicherten Flüssigkeit auf die Innenwände ausgeübten hydrostatischen Druckkräfte und andererseits gegebenenfalls von außen einwirkende Kräfte weder zu einer Schädigung des Tanks, noch zu einer Beeinträchtigung der Dichtigkeit des Tanks führen.
